How Do You Pick Your Next Story Idea?

As someone who enjoys writing short stories and films, I wanted to ask you:

What do you when writing a new story?

Do you use resources online? Do you just pick up your paper or computer and write?

Everyone does it a little differently.

I for one, enjoy looking at other works or maybe finding a specific word and making a plot from there. I usually write similar genres, such as fantasy or superhero stories, but sometimes I just see an image or I hear a an idea, and say, you know, let me take a spin at that, and write something fun.
