New Vs. Old Books: Pick Your Preference

For some reason, I always see new books being pushed.. just new ones. Not a lot of love for older titles, whether they be classics or just within five or ten years.

So I wanted to ask: when you go the store or your shelf, are you drawn to older titles or do you only want the new ones?

For me, this won't be a surprise: I go for past titles. I grew up with them so they mean more. It's not to say a new book isn't good, but it doesn't give me the feelings I want when reading.
