What's The Deal With Textbooks?
If you're like me and many others around the globe, you remember those heavy, brick style books from school that we called textbooks... and boy, do our backs still yell about it. A thought came to mind the other day where I wondered, "What happened with textbooks? Where did they go?" and it seems to be that... they are still around. But why would one want to buy them, if they are, at this point obsolete.
I think one answer is the nostalgia of it, as well as a look back to what we used to study and learn. These books aren't incorrect, as they have the same information that the internet does, where most people learn. But at the same time, they are seemingly useless because of the web as well.
I remember lugging around tons of these heavy books.. and really, not opening much of them. Then if you were lucky, you could a few bucks back by selling them to the school, while in reality most of us kept them for a while.
So let's chat: do you think there is a need for textbook style books today, or should we just ditch the excess stuff and learn on our computers?
